Monday morning inspiration

Monday is a hard day. But not always.
We tell you how to prepare for the beginning of the week so that you won’t be afraid of any work tasks or rush hours.

Take care of yourself on the weekend

Sometimes we forget that weekends are for relaxing. It is especially important to remember this on New Year’s Eve, when you want to do a thousand things before the chimes. With the arrival of the first of January, life is not over – it’s just beginning, so you should not try to do everything to the detriment of the precious rest.
On the weekend do what makes you happy: after awakening without remorse lie in bed, cook a delicious breakfast for yourself or the whole family, allow yourself to slowly drink your morning coffee, without the distraction of gadgets and messengers. Get out for a walk, go for a light workout, take a walk with your pet, or call some friends you haven’t seen in a while for lunch.

A weekend spent enjoying your favorite things and in great company will help you get through the first day of work easier.

Get a good night’s sleep

It’s hard to go to bed early on a weekend. You want to go to a concert, a party, watch another season of a TV series or sit in a restaurant with friends. And yet, on Sunday, it is better to go to bed at the usual time. Set aside the gadgets, take a shower or a hot bath and read your favorite book. All this will tune up your body to a good sleep, help you get a good night’s sleep and feel great on Monday morning.

Prepare for the work week.

On Sunday night, try to remember when you have important meetings and other things planned for the week ahead. Choose and iron clothes for tomorrow (or better yet, for the next couple of days) so you don’t have to waste time on that in the morning. Pack a lunch with you, have your breakfast groceries ready, or a tumbler for coffee. All of these things will help make tomorrow morning easier for you.

Start with important tasks

Tasks that need to be done are best done first. That way, you can clear your schedule and feel more relaxed about the rest of the day. Finish your reports, pay your bills and make doctor’s appointments without waiting until the evening.
By the way, if the case is important, but unpleasant, it is easier to do it in the morning, while you are still full of energy. Simple tasks that do not take up much time – online shopping, ordering food home – set aside for the evening.

Don’t Overwork Yourself

It’s become customary for many people to “rock out” on Mondays. Allow yourself to get into a work rhythm at the beginning of the week and don’t plunge straight into rush mode. This way you will avoid stress and remain highly productive in the remaining days of the week.
Try not to set yourself deadlines for Monday. They seem to motivate you to do everything quickly and well, but in reality you may become procrastinated or desperate.

Describe your anxieties.

It is useful not only to write on paper gratitude, but also to record your doubts, fears, and anxieties. The process of writing down involves analyzing your feelings – the problems you describe may not seem so scary.
Make a record in the morning or in your free time in the afternoon, either as a solid text or as a list. The list makes it easier to deal with accumulated problems by crossing them out.

Talk to someone close to you

A friend, parent or partner shouldn’t replace a therapist. But sometimes it’s helpful to tell them about your accomplishments, failures and doubts. If you have too much to do and do not have time to meet in person, make a phone call. Someone close to you will support and give advice when necessary.

Treat Yourself

And this doesn’t necessarily mean eating something unhealthy and calorie-dense. Treat yourself to a purchase you’ve been putting off for a long time, let yourself go for a walk after work, go to a fun, unusual workout or spend time in your favorite cafe.
Life isn’t all about work. Don’t forget to do the things you enjoy, then Mondays will bring more joy.

How do you kickstart Monday morning?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to start your Monday morning will vary depending on what works best for you. However, some tips to get your day started on the right foot include setting your alarm for a little bit earlier than usual so you have time to relax and get ready for the day, eating a healthy breakfast, and taking some time to review your goals for the week.
